Things to Bring to Camp
Sleeping bag & pillow
Mattresses are provided, but ensure you bring warm bedding and a pillow to use
Daily change of clothes
Weather can be very cool in the mornings and evenings, and get quite hot during the day. Ensure your child has a daily change of clothes that are appropriate for all kids of weather.
Rain Gear
Some days it rains at camp and, although we do amend activities to be more indoors when it is wet, campers are required to walk outside between buildings and may still have some outside time.
Toiletries
There is dedicated time to shower at camp, so please pack your child's shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, and any other toiletries they use on a daily basis. Please leave all perfume at home.
Towel & Swimsuit
Swimming in the lake is a daily activity at camp, weather permitting, so please ensure your child has a comfortable swimsuit and towel (or two!)
Sun Hat
It can get very hot at camp, so be sure to pack a good hat to keep the sun off your child's head.
Proper footwear
Closed-toed running shoes are vital for your child at camp, ensuring comfort and safety. They prevent injuries and protect feet, enhancing their overall experience.
Bug Spray
Camp Whitney is nestled between a beautiful forest and lake, so make sure to bring bug spray to keep the mosquitoes at bay!
Sunscreen
It can get very hot at camp, so be sure to pack a waterproof sunscreen.
Flashlight & batteries
For night trips to the bathroom, or looking around your cabin at night, a flashlight is a must!
Refillable water bottle
It can get very hot at camp and we like to take care of the environment, so be sure to pack a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated all day.

Things NOT to Bring to Camp
Food, drink, or candy
All snacks and meals are provided for your child and food is not allowed in the cabins. Any food found in your child's belongings will be confiscated and returned at the end of camp.
Money
There is nothing for your child to buy at camp as everything is already provided with your registration fee. Please leave all money with your parents or guardians. Camp Whitney is not responsible for any lost or stolen money.
Electronic Devices
Cell phones, iPods, GameBoys, tablets, and all other electronic devices must be left at home. Camp is for exploring your relationship with nature and those around us. All electronic devices will be confiscated and returned at the end of camp.
