June 29 - July 26, 2025

Weekly from Sunday at noon to Saturday at noon

This is a volunteer position and not a paid position.

Meals and lodging are included. Counselors in training are expected to sleep on site in the bunkhouses with their group of campers and another counselor.

Counselors in Training work with a Camp Counselor to take care of the emotional, physical and social needs of the campers in their care, and to ensure Camp Whitney is providing a rewarding experience for each camper. Counselors in training are expected to participate in all camp events, camp wide games and activities, and help their counselor to lead activities for small groups. Counselors in training are expected to spend the majority of their time with the campers under their care, such as sitting with their campers at meals and sleeping in the bunkhouses with the campers.
